The aim of training in psychosocial counseling is to introduce participants to the basic concepts of counseling, and develop practical skills in counseling at the same time enhancing the understanding of human development.
This course will be covered over a period of 8 weeks. The first two weeks shall comprise of an intensive theoretical study of psychosocial counseling at the main campus in Livingstone, thereafter each student shall be attached to a clinic/hospital of their choice for a six weeks practical. Upon completion of all requirements, each successful student shall be awarded a certificate from LTI, and a license from the Zambia Counseling council.
Conflict Resolution Studies (CRS) seeks to understand the nature and dynamics of human conflict and to look at appropriate alternatives for dealing with conflict in ways that develop healthy relationships and prevent violence. Conflicts are analyzed from an interdisciplinary perspective together with topics such as violence, power, justice, peace, communication, culture, war, conflict transformation, and dispute resolution. CRS prepares students to understand and interact constructively in response to personal, local, and global conflict situations.
This is a residential program covered over an intensive period of 2 weeks.
In a world where there are many versions and versions, a detailed study of biblical languages is of utmost necessity. Biblical languages will help the student get well acquainted with the original languages of Hebrew and Greek, to enable them to be more effective and efficient in their exegetical skills.
Each language is offered on a part-time and distance mode of study.
The part-time program is covered over a period of six months. Each student will be requested to attend two lectures in a week that comprise of six contact hours.
Monitoring is the collection and analysis of information about a project or program, undertaken while the project/program is on-going.
Evaluation is the periodic, retrospective assessment of an organization, project, or program that might be conducted internally or by external independent evaluators.
The goal of the M&E Capacity Building training is to increase the capacity of participants to monitor and evaluate their programs for improved program effectiveness and efficiency.
Summarize M&E terminology and have a sound understanding of the differences between monitoring and evaluation
Summarize how M&E data can be used for program planning, management, and improvement.
List program indicators and describe reporting requirements
Generate program-specific M&E plans, including program planning, program goals and objectives, M&E results framework, program indicators, and data use.
Identify how M&E is used to manage and improve programs, beyond reporting and accountability.
Project management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet or exceed stakeholder’s needs and expectations.
